October is upon us, and so are the long-awaited Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL!
They are the last addition to the crazy release gala of smartphones!
And it is expected that will get different reactions due to the controversial design, but there is a lot more.
As the hackers get stronger this year, the Pixel 2 is not immune to these leaks either.
So as for the rumors and reports, this is what we know about the Google Pixel 2 so far.
Dual Camera? Nope.
There is iPhone X, iPhone 8 and now Note 8 with dual lens camera, does pixel has one too?
The dual lens system is now a thing, but apparently, Pixel is refusing to follow.
With the camera being such a big deal nowadays, this is going to bring a huge chunk of disappointment for Google.
So no Portrait Mode? There’s the Twist.
Not having a dual lens system may imply that there won’t be a portrait mode for Pixel 2 as there have been in iPhone and other phones with two lenses.
But against the expectation, somehow Google has managed to pull it off.
Despite the single camera, there is going to be a portrait mode due to the camera software.
Google is ahead in image processing, so why not?
A Whole New Look?
As per the rumors, there has been a complete makeover of the pixel launcher.
With the search bar moved below the dock and a whole new look for the homepage.
Considering this is true, this is going to be an amazing change in generations for Google.
Song Recognition? That could come in handy!
There has been a lot of instants where you hear a song but you can’t find out which one it is, until Shazam.
But now you don’t need a separate app for that.
Pixel 2 will be able to recognize the song and display the title and the name of artist itself, whether at a party or a coffee shop.
So does it have some nice curves? Nope.
Ever since the Galaxy S6 edge, curves are so in!
And now the beautiful infinity screen wraps around the edges and makes it even prettier.
And then there is Apple’s 2.5D display that corves around the edges.
But again, Google misses the hint and makes a total curve-free flat phone.
That actually comes across as somewhat boring.
At least it has headphone jacks? Umm… Nope!
No headphone jacks have been a major inconvenience for many people.
It actually sucks not being able to use just any wholesale earphone from the UK market.
It was actually great when Samsung did not follow, and same was expected from Google.
But this thing they decide to follow.
This is a major bummer.
so if you are still rooting for it, all the best.
Or, you know, you can buy it, get disappointed and then sell wholesale phone parts.
